Roofing and Anxiety

Commercial Roofing is by far one of the most stressful things I have had to deal with in my life.

For one thing it is massive. The building alone is 12000 square feet in floor space. The roof is flat and you never can tell how much it will take to replace the existing roof.

You have to worry about all the things under the roof. Sure it is insured but you can never be too confident.

Is it a disorder to worry about something like this? Is it just normal or am I freaking out too much?

I’m not entirely certain but one I thing I know is you are better off finding a professional who knows what they are doing. A project this big tends to go way beyond your capability.

I researched that roofing companies use a new type of roofing material called TPO which is a membrane roll out style. Thus it is less seams to worry about and the application is a breeze compared to the old tar and gravel method.

I have decided to take it one day at a time and research companies who have had a great track record in applying new roofs.

Then I will get my building a new roof and then, and only then, will I relax and be able to concentrate or worry on other things.
